Welcome to So Millions.
What is millions?
It’s not about actual $$; it’s a sense of the plenty.
You cannot make millions. But you can be millions. And you can allow millions.
You might ask, How did millions come into being?
It’s totally okay to ask this question. Asking unanswerable questions is very millions.
I’ll try to sketch it out.
Millions was never born.
It’s not that it was created. It was noticed.
All religions have looked for ways to describe it.
Millions sort of rhymes with resilient.
This is not a coincidence!
Millions is always interested and growing.
Millions is kindness.
The kindness of strangers is especially millions.
Though for millions, who is a stranger?
Millions is not extra. Don’t go thinking millions is a luxury.
It’s something done with care. For example, my friend Ora saw that my plants were looking a little ragged, and she watered them and trimmed off the dead leaves, and said, “There, now they look like someone loves them.”
In 8th grade, when I first heard Stevie Wonder sing, “Her clothes are old, but never are they dirty,” I took that as a lesson in millions.
Millions is fully inhabited. Millions is intention.
Millons doesn’t stand back. Millions especially does not stand back from beauty, and terror.
A completely millions move: The boy who went back into his school when it collapsed in an earthquake and rescued two of his classmates and then when asked how he could do that said, “I was the hall monitor.”
When Inan and Kaya made this hospital for a bee: totally millions.
Millions is plushly generous existence.
It’s the opposite of the mind of scarcity. It finds the tiny sliver of possibility and cracks it open.
Millions says, what if we just turn this slightly?
Millions is considerate, but that doesn’t mean it always waits its turn.
Millions takes its turn when it sees the chance.
The feathered dinosaur is so millions.
Everyone gets this concept because everyone knows millions in themselves.
Millions does not feel sorry for itself.
Millions is based in remembering to thank.
Millions is when you can feel doubt but but you can find the vent in it and breathe through it.
Everyone has millions, but not everyone has noticed it. And of course, some have noticed it too much and they lead with it. They think they made it.
Not standing back from possibility is very millions.
Millions is not afraid to hope, but it knows that hope is not passive. As Rebecca Solnit says, in Hope in the Dark, “Hope is not like a lottery ticket you can sit on the sofa and clutch, feeling lucky. It is an ax you break down doors with in an emergency.”
Rebecca is pure millions.
Why? Because she has noticed that people are not intrinsically jerks.
She can stand how great people are.
I’ll use this site as a place to share the millions. If I haven’t mentioned you as being very millions, I’m sorry I haven’t gotten to you yet. There’s no way to keep up with the millions. So if you think, She must not think I’m very millions, or Hasn’t she noticed how millions I am? Be careful, thinking like that instantly makes you less millions. Of course we all have thoughts like that, but it takes millions to keep moving through them.
Millions is patience.
Being friendly with doubt is very millions.
John Keats is so millions when he writes in a letter to his brothers, about the benefits of being “capable of being in uncertainties, mysteries, doubts, without any irritable reaching after fact and reason.” He lets his brothers know he’s about to say something really millions when he introduces this concept by saying, that it arose in “not a dispute, but a disquisition,” and that “several things dove-tailed in my mind.”
Letting several things dove-tail in your mind is very millions.
It’s when you try something you’re afraid to do, or that you think is corny, for example, the doctor who followed up on the hunch that dogs could sniff out cancer.
Following hunches is very millions.
Hunches are composed entirely of millions.
Millions loves the placebo effect.
Follow the millions.
And get plenty of rest.
I am in love with this concept. and yes yes to the bee hospital especially when it is constructed by someone who had been recently bitten by a bee — as Inan had been.
very millions.
getting back on the side of the bee
although being bitten meant a big allergic reaction and feeling beside herself for days.
inan has since asked for a net to hang from her ceiling so that we can open the windows to the warm spring air AND she can sleep unafraid of being bitten by bugs — also very millions that request
an she got it. and now sleeps under gauze — looking beautiful and unconcerned.
xoxo to Genine who is millions and millions times millions times millions.
Oh, brava brava. This is the most millionth thing of today, after the pine trees. You know what else is millions? Here.

And now I am going to try to sleep, because that was a really good suggestion. Svaha!
I love how you made millions a way to describe something that is good. When i’m at school we always use ratchet and bars. Ratchet means that is raggedy, dirty or jagged. Then bars means when someone is good at something.
Something that I think is so millions is the way a dog can smell out cancer before the doctors do the x-ray. I think that is so millions, I never thought I would hear something like that.
Please keep writing things like this. This is one of the most interesting type of writing I have seen.
I love the way you used millions! I think its great you were able to use millions in a way that means cool. I like to use “That’s so fetch!” You’ve probably heard of this phrase if you’ve seen Mean Girls. I think that ‘so millions’ is so millions. Not a lot of people can come up with phrases like this. I would appreciate it if you kept writing more stuff like this. Great job!
I like your blog it’s fetch. I wish you the be$t with our blog. I wi$h one day my blog will be like your $o organized & creative .
I think this is very creative and how they used their imagination to create a word such as millions to be a new term for cool. Like this is so millions. OHH boss just just the word. yea i think this very creative
I love this blog because it gets you thinking of what is truly is “so millions” and for me the first thought was humans. There are millions of us and there is millions of us in us. There for we are “so millions”. but then again being “so millions” can be misinterpreted in being two face or, like many people say fake. This brought me to another thought is being “so millions” being fake or are things “so millions” fake and theres only ONE original? or is that each one of them is the original and put together they are “so millions”?
These are some of the “so millions” thoughts that cross my mind while reading of them.
I like this. I mean it’s nothing really new b/c saying “so millions” is like saying “bars” which is something I’m use to saying. Although, reading through this blog reminded me when of 3 months ago when I first learned about human trafficking. There was a six year old girl who also just learned about these women being trafficked. This lil girl got together with her other six year old friends and discuss ways to prevent human trafficking. Not to long after their lil meeting, they start raising AWARENESS which got them over 5,000 dollars in 3 days. That money rescued about 20 girls from brothels in India.
To have a six year old little girl do something so helpful and caring is “bars” or “so millions.”
My daughter, Romy who is so millions turned me on to this
That act was “so millions!)
Thanks Rome and G-d bless somillions!
