1:1 Sessions

A 1:1 session provides a dedicated container for:

    • close attention to a text
    • talking through ideas
    • tailoring a selection of readings
    • brainstorming a project
    • noticing a habit no longer serving you
    • approaching a “heinous task”
    • tailoring a set of generative prompts
    • preparing application materials for fellowships, residencies, conferences, programs, etc.
    • preparing & submitting work for publication
    • establishing & tuning toward intentions
    • cultivating new writing practices

In holding the space of a 1:1 session, some of my central intentions are:

  • to be a source of sustained & alert attention
  • to be present as a witness, an acute listener & reader
  • to help you attune to what’s most alive in your writing & process
  • to offer a held space within an uncertain writing terrain
