Stanza Generative Writing Studio
Tuesdays, 4 - 5:30 p.m. PST
July 15 - September 16, online
A writing circle offers a supportive and responsive context for generating new work or deepening work already underway. Sessions provide an ongoing practice of deepening your capacity for listening in to what wants to emerge in your writing.
Each session includes a series of generative prompts, a focus on craft and process, and close readings of a selection of texts. Writing thrives in fresh attention. How can we come to our process open, alert to our preoccupations, habits, predilections, and affinities? How do we cultivate space for rest and integration?
The studio cultivates an ethos of care and respect for each others’ risks and offerings, holding a space in which you can find camaraderie and perspective in your writing process.
Each session includes:
Writing from a series of generative prompts
Close reading of a text, with an emphasis on craft
Informal sharing of work (optional)
One session each month is extended 30 minutes (4-6:00 pst) to allow more time for sharing and informal response (July 29, August 26, September 16)
As always, each session is free-standing so you can come to whatever sessions work for you.
You can send the fee via Zelle or Venmo and I will email you to confirm your registration. You’ll receive a Zoom link for class from me when you register.
If you have an existing 1:1 package you can deduct these workshop sessions from your package. If you still have sessions from a previous season, those can still apply to this new round.
Registration fees are not refundable, but will remain available as credit for future sessions or toward 1:1 sessions.
Please email me if fees present an obstacle to participating in the workshop.
